VISION

 

·        To attain excellence in pedagogy and provide potential skills in the areas of humanities and social sciences.

 

MISSION

 

·        To provide an amicable ambience to inspire the students to indulge in authentic research.

·        To encourage the students to know the practical applications through practice.

·        To provide basic and advanced skills in self - reliance and maximization of capabilities.

 

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

PEO1 To provide students a well-built establishment in mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals essential to recognize, evaluate and decide real life troubles and to practice them for graduate studies in their specific area.

PEO2: To develop excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills and technical writing for effectively interacting with clients, customers, co-workers and managers.

PEO3: To create responsiveness among the engineering students for life-long learning and to encourage in their professional and ethical attitude, good leadership qualities and commitment to social conscientiousness.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (POs) 

  1. Secretary/PAC briefed the members about curriculum structure and syllabi of programme BE (common to all branches) 2008 and 2013 regulation.

The following are the suggestions given by the members

  • Academic expert from Mathematics department suggested to give more importance to tutorial classes with two additional faculties, to make it an interactive session
  • Academic expert from Chemistry department suggested to give real time examples for the difficult topics, which the students may find tough
  • Academic expert from English department suggested to give more importance to Communication Skill Development and also concentrate the students from Tamil Medium
  • Academic expert from Physics department suggested to involve the students to do some mini projects based on their syllabus
  1. Secretary/PAC briefed the members about curriculum structure and syllabi of programme

B.E. 2013 regulation.

The following are the suggestions given by the members

  • Academic expert from Mathematics department suggested to include the  Operational Research as a compulsory subject to all departments of B.E. courses
  • Academic expert from English suggested to practice the Activity Based Learning(ABL) to enhance the students learning calibre
  1. Chairman and Secretary thanked all the members for their active participation, suggestions and contribution for the improvement of quality the programme.
